displacement

i think i understand a small, teeny, itsy, bitsy amount of the emotional experience concerning displaced people or people who are homeless. i remember feeling this way in prior transitions... that nowhere is home and without home the heart struggles to rest...

i found this great quote by a famous writer (of whom I read none of):

“all changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.” - anatole france

i also am reading "surrender to love" by david benner...

"jesus is the antidote to fear. his love - not our believing certain things about him or trying to do what he commands - is what holds the promise of releasing us from the bondage of our inner conflicts, guilt and terror."

oh, and i prefer amtrak over greyhound any day. :)
