how do you quiet your mind when lakeshore drive is unceasing, horns echo through neighborhoods and the chic hardwood floor just doesn't lend to comfiness?
my classes are full of pc-necessity. my conversations are dominated by my desire to respect "whatever works for you."
how do you tell someone that jesus loves them when it would be offensive? when has love become offensive?
how do you speak into the problems of your classmates and their friends when they don't share your worldview...?
i wish i could sense jesus' leadings more. i was reading a book talking about realizing that you are in god's presence right now... how do i discern my intuitions of his spirit from my own desires, fears, passions and anxieties? are they meant to be pried apart or is his spirit found within them?
how do you mourn and have hope? how do you live in hope knowing there will be mourning?
these are the heavy robes that cloak my cooling heart. may light break through. may jesus arrive at my shoulder exchanging the wool with silk. oh my heart. how little it trusts.
on a lighter, airier note...
there is this great restaurant where you can get a $5 3-course meal and take some of it home. the most unfortunate part of this, is that any meal from this restaurant results in much air pollution and ballooning activity.
