nuts on lark

this past weekend i enjoyed my third round of visitor! i feel this first picture is an accurate description of the weekend. "nuts on lark" is a sign for a nut store on clark street. we thought it was an excellent and funny description of the two of us.

after allison got in on saturday, our sunday together began with the two of us (allison carrying a coffee mug full of hot coffee) sprinting after a bus we thought we were going to miss. i'm sure it was a sight to see both of us in our church clothes and coffee running across halsted and broadway with huge smiles on our face. above is the photo we took after our morning run, safe on the bus.

after church, we went back to the uncommon ground (mentioned earlier in the blog) where i had fish tacos and a bloody mary and allison had the turkey sandwich. we both gobbled up the delicious sweet potato fries and goat cheese fondue - so good!!

after resting sunday afternoon, we ventured out to go thrift store shopping and see a movie. allison is known for her artsiness and that quality produced this photo of me in our "unique" elevator.

and we ended the day watching "Where the Wild Things Are." a movie that was overall sad and an unfortunate perspective of what modern-day childhood is like. nonetheless, we enjoyed munching on our homemade snacks and laughing as i tripped and fell on the steps up to the el.

a full, fast and precious weekend it was :). i love sharing time with friends who are "good for the spirit" and share a love of quirkiness and culture.
