ambivalence

earlier today, the professor for my 8:15am class emailed us and said to look for an email from her at 10pm tonight because she may cancel class due to the snow.

so, here i sit as time ticks by.

10:03
10:07
10:11

finally, at 10:17, the email appears in my inbox.

class is cancelled.

BUT

we have 9 youtube videos to watch and respond (insightfully and critically, no less) to in an online discussion thread:

i'm not sure how to feel. i've been having a new affection for the term ambivalent which means you hold positive and negative feelings towards something.

well, at least i can watch some of the class in my jammies and slippers :).
