get a loaf of that!

in an effort to light things up this week, i decided to do a "graduate student photo shoot". katherine and i took a "student teaching photo shoot" our senior year in college, so i felt this was permissible and fitting... (right...?)





but on a MORE exciting note... i... actually... made homemade bread!!! i was a bit nervous about this because i really wanted it to go well and be relaxing. but, i have never made bread before, so the chances of failing were high... also, i was worried that i might like the idea of making bread more than the reality...

i am happy to report that i did enjoy the process of kneading and creating these tiny loaves. it was a bit like birth... well, as close to birth as i am familiar with...

though, i must add, i have yet to try these yummy loaves yet... but at least they look nice (and aesthetics of food go a long way, right?)
