one of my favorite parts about the birth of spring is that we don't need to wear socks!!
thus, as a part of my overzealous celebration of spring's early onset here in chicago, i've been without socks the majority of the time.
today i was put in my place by mother nature and her friendly lap dog, the wind.
i knew from reading weather.com that the highs were in the high 40's. 40's are a tough one to gauge because sometimes they turn into beautiful days.
this was not one of those days.
thus, i ventured out without socks and have had to dethaw my tootsies (they easily and quickly lose circulation and turn completely white). i even tried to dethaw them on the bus (i.e. take off my shoe and shove my foot under my knee. this appears quite awkward to one's seatmate. but i did not care.
i am quite terrible to my feet (see blog below)... i didn't realize this. perhaps i should get a restraining order for myself.
or...
just wear socks.
hm... that's really all... i think.
oh! i got an internship (many thanks to my suit) and next year i am interning at north park university's counseling center.
hope you are all well!

Congratulations on the internship! North Park is affiliated with the denomination (Evangelical Covenant Church) of the church Elizabeth and I attend. How's THAT for a connection?
ReplyDeletethank you! wow, that is a crazy coincidence! it was also the denomination that nick lind's church was when he was a pastor in topeka. thus, all i thought of it was that it was associated with old people LOL. now i've grown to greatly appreciate the covenant denomination (and attend a covenant church myself, currently).
ReplyDeletethat IS a connection! maybe central grads are more drawn towards the denomination? i mean... maybe an overgeneralization since i'm only looking at 5 people... but something to think about :)!
