seated

i love chicago buses.

i love the 145 & 146 in particular because at some point you get a 10 minute ride with a perfect lake view.

i love the back corner seat on these buses because:
1. you are sitting slightly higher, so your feet dangle making you feel like a small child again.
2. you have an unobstructed view of the lake because your higher seat puts your eyes above the annoying bar that comes right at eye level in any of the other seats and blocks convenient view of anything outside.

i just love love love when that seat is open on a semi-empty bus when it is sunny outside.  this happened today and i just sat there, my legs swinging and a huge grin on my face because the seat and the view make me so happy.  all i needed was a popsicle or an ice cream cone to make it picture perfect.

ahh... the small things.
